Endla
Another, third picture of the same moor in Estonia near Kooraste, Tartu, in the Innerlands of Estonia. Ask Marcel Hospers, Martijn de Jong, Lenze or Hans Inberg for information about observations. In this area Moerasrozemarijn, Dwergberken (Betula nana) were present. These two species were also present in Nigula.
An other characteristic is the growing of Pine trees in the marshes an highlands. this is the case in other parts of Europe. Pine trees are the only trees who survive the wintertime in this area.
Hier zijn dus moerasrozemarijn (..) en dwergberken (Beeches, Betulaceae, Betula nana) te zien. Verder zijn de hoogvenen in estland begroeid met dennebossen, wat je verder eigenlijk ook nergens ziet. Het veen heet waarschijnlijk Endla
