The bridge over the river was broken, so the cars drove over a shallow place in the river. This causes deep trails with a special beetle fauna and skunkweed flora.

This place was close to the see. A little bit further a large reed (Pragmites australis) area started, which stopped at the Baltic sea. The old road is on the foregrond, Maurijn is sitting near the trails on the 'new' road. The swamp here was very special, it contained Carex limosa? (Slijkzegge).
